election eve.

It’s finally here. After a very, very long campaign we finally get to go to the polls and cast our votes. I already voted early here in Washington’s glorious King County. In reality, my vote is simply another drop in the tide of support Obama has here in Seattle.

I’m excited to have finally been able to vote for someone who inspires and excites me, and I’m excited as well to be involved in what, barring a big surprise tomorrow, looks like it will be the election of the first black president in our nation’s history. I’m nervous and optimistic about tomorrow’s outcome. We’re having people over here at the house, so if you’re in the area and you want to take in the election coverage with some good people and a blue Jell-O shot for every time Barack wins a state, feel free to stop by.

Tomorrow will be a day in history, hopefully it’s the history that you and I want. I hope that if Obama wins he continues to inspire and draw people together.
