trailer park tuesday. 10.14.08

Sunshine Cleaning:

“We come into people’s lives when they have experienced something profound and sad, and we help.”

Who’s In It?: Amy Adams, Alan Arkin, Emily Blunt, Steve Zahn

What is it?: Amy Adams plays a single mom who starts a crime scene cleaning service with her sister and father.

Why I’m Interested: This film has a ton of stuff going for it as far as I’m concerned. Yet, I’d watch it if for no other reason than to see Amy Adams continue to take over the world. She is one of those rare few who have tremendous talent, and stunning gorgeousness in the same wondeful package.

Synedoche New York:

“There are millions of people in the world, and none of those people is an extra, they’re all leads of their own stories.”

Who’s In It?: Philip Seymour Hoffman, Catherine Keener, Hope Davis, Michelle Williams, Samantha Morton, Dianne Wiest, Jennifer Jason Leigh

What is it?: It’s far too complicated to do it justice here, but suffice it to say the Hoffman plays a theater director who has an unknown illness, and is trying to create a replica of New York City in a warehouse for his next play.

Why I’m Interested: This trailer would have me interested regardless, but when it really comes down to it: Philip Seymour Hoffman and Charlie Kaufman… that’s all you have to say.
